Rugs made from wool that has good quality, natural, saturated dyes are very resistant to sunlight and should not fade. Other types of dyes, however; do fade over time. Here are some tips to help you prevent sun fading:
- Lower the shades when not using your home or during the day
- Cover exposed areas with bed sheets while on vacation
- Rotate your rugs every 6-9 months for an even patina
- Areas of high UV exposure should have protection on windows
