On the other hand, wool is a porous fiber, just like your hair, that absorbs whatever is applied, injected or sprayed onto it. That is why it is very important never to use toxic chemicals or dry-cleaning processes for your rug. At the Isberian Rug Company cleaning facility, we use only non-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaning supplies that use natural enzymes leaving your rug dry without residue or chemical odor. Then your rug is thoroughly rinsed with cold fresh water. Do not use hot water or steam clean your rug. Hypoallergenic is a term that refers to our non-chemical process using no additives that could cause allergies or harm to humans or pets.
