Come and see our vast collection of Antique Navajo Rugs and new Navajo Recreations.
These hand-woven, hand spun rugs will give warmth and life to any room.
Navajo rugs are highly regarded and sought after by collectors all over the world for their beauty and durability.
The complete process of creating a Navajo rug is a time-consuming process that involves preparing, combing, spinning, and dying the wool. Only pure wool is used for authentic rugs. Traditional plant-based dyes are used, instead of harsh chemical dyes. It is this hand-spun yarn that gives the rugs strength and durability far beyond what is obtainable by commercial mechanized methods. This process can take as long as the actual weaving process. Navajo weavers then work at a vertical loom starting at the bottom and packing each weft so tightly that the finished rug is waterproof. Your rug will last and be both beautiful and useful virtually forever.
Rugs of different designs are made in different areas of the Navajo Nation. Most designs represented in our inventory include: Teec Nos Pos, Two Gray Hills, Crystal, Ganado, Yei, Transitional, Twill and Pictorials.
